EDITION NO.1
2026
With EDITION No. 1, De Troupe unveils the first collection under its new name, marking a deliberate evolution of the studio’s identity. Produced in collaboration with master artisans in Italy, the collection reflects a renewed international outlook grounded in precision, material integrity, and cultural continuity. Debuting with this chapter, EDITION No. 1 draws on the striking lines of the French Art Deco era, reinterpreted through a modernist lens. The collection features black and cream lacquered wood seating upholstered in rich Dedar fabrics, alongside hand-carved alabaster lighting set within brass armatures. A new table lamp designed in collaboration with Milan-based design studio studioutte further extends the dialogue between craft, architecture, and contemporary design culture. Each piece explores the relationship between light, form, and material, conceived as a quiet architecture rather than an expressive object. The result is a composed and cinematic language—subtle, exacting, and enduring. Produced in Italian workshops known for their generational expertise, the collection foregrounds process as a defining value. Materials are approached with respect and intention, allowing their inherent qualities to inform structure and finish. Craft becomes a framework for clarity rather than embellishment. EDITION No. 1 signals a new chapter for De Troupe: an articulation of its evolving position within contemporary design, where objects exist at the intersection of architecture, craftsmanship, and image.
